Kenwood KA3500 Integrated Amp

This Mint amp surprised me! It sounds so clean.
Drove the Ohms' with ease.
The tone was really solid from high to lows. Simplistic styling which I love. Produced in 1977 at 40 wpc its solid power.
With the mint KT5500 Tuner in stock this combo is rare 70's beauties!

The original brochure...
Check out the serious love handle option!

  1. I owned this piece back in 1977. It had nicely well phased channels but it just lacked deep bass fidelity. I think it also distored some highs;they sounded overmodulated. I returned the unit. I believe I did have that KT5500 tuner and that was excellent.

  5. Just got one. It looks beautiful and sounds pretty nice as well, but I agree with kelsci on the deep bass fidelity. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with this unit.

  6. I just got this great vintage amp . I hooked it up to some Yamaha speakers that had previously been powered by a huge Sony surround receiver rated at triple this little Kenwood . I had to pay the speakersat half volume with the Sony to get the sound I get from this great little amp set on 3 . Power to spare and great sound . Not bad for a $20.00 find .

  7. I like vintage stereo equipment and recently purchased Kenwood KA-KA3500 paired with B&W 603 S2. It is very powerful, nice warm sound. B&W speakers need power and Kenwood is running them with no problem. I read previous comments regarding lack of deep bass, I do not have that problem. Looks to me that you have to choose speakers that are good for you. I am looking now for vintage tuner and DAC. I like old vintage look, sound, design, knobs used which are no not common. I highly recommend and I love my small amp.

  8. I paired Nenwood KA-3500 with B&W 603S2, B&W speakers needs power and Kenwood is doing very well, and I have plenty of bass. Sometimes I miss high tones but depends of song sometimes is OK. My recommendation is to test w. different speakers. Bottom line I like my vintage set up, its worm sound, good power and vintage simple design
